Degumming is a process for removal of phosphatides from crude soybean and other vegetable oils to improve physical stability and facilitate further processing.

Degummed Soy Oil is the intermediate product between crude or solvent soy oil and refined soy oil.

India is the largest importer of Degummed Soy Oil. Almost 75% of domestic demand of Soy Oil is met by imports.
